Grand Canyon: Rim to Rim

Nancy visited the Grand Canyon for the first time last May. For 17 days she, her husband Don and a tour group rafted down the Colorado River. That was the beginning of a lifetime love affair between Nancy and the Canyon. Her enthusiasm was contagious and she said on more than one occasion that she was going back to the Canyon. That opportunity presented itself in a trip that Nancy found created and guided by the World Outdoors. It was a 6-day, 5-night rim to rim hike in the Grand Canyon. This trip was different in that it went from the north rim to the south rim and we stayed in lodging with real beds, not camping. Both of us craved the challenge of the hike, the heat, the miles, but not the challenge of sleeping on the ground, carrying our own food, and not being able to shower. This is the story of that adventure and the continuation of a love affair that will live for years to come.
